No spam. No pressure. Response within 1 business day.

Any format, any volume

Printed Right. Built to Last.

A perfect bound paperback, a workbook, a training manual, a case bound hardcover with foil and a ribbon marker. Twenty-five copies or twenty-five thousand. Every job follows the same controlled process and gets the same specification discipline.

Binding chosen so the book opens the way it should and stays bound through real use, not just on a shelf. Stock weight that does not show the page behind it. Full-bleed color that holds density from the first copy to the last. Trim that lands exactly where the design assumed it would. We handle the demanding work, and we are equally glad to print something straightforward and get it right.

We review your files before anything reaches a press, we proof before we commit a run, and one person in the US owns your project from quote through to delivery.

Have a format or specification you do not see here? That is welcome. Send us the details and we will review the requirements and determine the appropriate production solution.

What you get

Production to a specification, not guesswork

Production to your specification

Trim size, binding, paper stock, color and finish confirmed against your intended use before anything goes to press.

Pre-press file checks

Files are checked for bleed, margin, font embedding and color profile issues before production, the errors that most commonly delay or ruin a print run.

Digital proof, physical proof on request

You approve a digital proof before production. A physical proof of the actual paper, binding and print quality, not a screen mockup, is available on request and quoted separately.

One named point of contact

A dedicated project manager owns your order from specification through delivery. One person to reach, not a rotating queue.

Honest timelines

We confirm a real production schedule at the quote stage, based on your actual specification and volume, and confirm it again once your proof is approved. We do not quote a date we cannot hold.

How it works

How your book is produced

Every project follows the same controlled sequence, whatever the volume.

1

Specification

Trim size, binding, paper stock, color and finish confirmed against your intended use.

2

Production planning

Your specification is matched to the right production method and press configuration for the format and volume.

3

Pre-press and file preparation

Files are checked for bleed, margin, font embedding and color profile issues before production.

4

Digital proof

You review and approve a digital proof before anything is scheduled for production.

5

Physical proof on request

A physical proof of the real paper, binding and print quality is available on request, quoted separately.

6

Press approval

A final check confirms the job matches the approved specification before the press run begins.

7

Production

Your order is produced to the approved specification.

8

Quality control

Finished copies are checked against the approved specification before shipment.

9

Palletization and freight

Copies are packed and palletized for delivery, scoped with your quote.

10

Delivery or staged release

Delivered to one address, split across multiple destinations, or released in stages against a distribution schedule.

Pricing

What actually drives your price

You get a real number against your actual project, usually within one business day. A published per-unit rate would be a guess, because these five variables move the figure more than anything else. Tell us what you know and we will price it properly.

Quantity

Per-unit cost drops as volume increases, particularly past the offset threshold.

Page count

More pages means more material and more press time per copy.

Format

Hardcover costs more to produce per copy than perfect bound paperback.

Stock

Paper and cover stock weight and finish change both cost and feel.

Turnaround

Standard scheduling costs less than a compressed, rush production window.

Large runs

Large runs and institutional projects

At larger volumes, offset production often becomes more economical, depending on the specification, run length and production requirements. Projects at that scale are scoped by a specialist before any number is quoted.

We handle specification, pre-press, proofing, press approval, quality control and delivery. We produce sheet-fed and web offset, case binding, Smyth sewn, perfect binding and thin-stock work.

Delivery can be palletized to a single destination, split across multiple addresses, or released in stages against a distribution schedule, all scoped with the quote. At volume, freight is a material part of total cost, which is why destination is asked early.

If your organization needs a formal written quotation for a purchase order, a response to an RFP, or paperwork in a particular format for procurement or finance sign-off, tell us what you need and we will provide it. Recurring and multi-title programs are quoted the same way, as one scoped project rather than a series of separate jobs.

“Honestly, it was awesome. The team handled everything step by step and kept me in the loop the entire time. I never felt lost or overwhelmed — which was really important for me since this was my first time publishing. The biggest thing for me was how easy they made the whole process. They took care of the complicated parts and made it simple for me to just focus on my book.”

Frequently asked questions

What buyers ask before requesting a quote

I do not know my page count, binding or paper yet. Can you still help?
Yes, and most projects start that way. Select "Not sure" on anything you are unsure of and we will work it out with you, or start a chat and we will talk it through before you commit to a specification. If you would rather speak to someone, call +1 (703) 997-9787 and a specialist will take you through the options. You get guidance first and a quote after, and there is no obligation attached to either.
What protections do I have if there is a production, quality or delivery problem?
Three things sit between you and a bad outcome. Nothing goes to press until you approve a proof, so the specification is agreed in writing before production starts. Finished copies are checked against that approved specification before they ship. And if something is wrong on arrival, there is a defined claim window from the date of delivery and a remedy set out in your quote, which is the document that governs the order. Full commercial terms are published at columbiapublication.com/our-terms.
Is there a minimum order?
Quotes are handled from 25 copies, which covers proof and sample runs, up through commercial orders in the hundreds or low thousands. There is no single published minimum, tell us your quantity and we will confirm fit and production timeline.
What is the turnaround time?
Turnaround depends on format, quantity, page count and finishing, so we do not publish one blanket window. A confirmed production schedule is provided at the quote stage once your specification is set, and confirmed again after your physical proof is approved.
What binding options are available?
Paperback, perfect bound, hardcover, and Smyth sewn.
Are physical proofs available before production?
Yes. Physical proofs are available on request and are quoted separately based on your project's specifications.
Can an order ship to multiple addresses?
Yes. Multi-address delivery is available for an additional shipping and handling cost, quoted according to destinations, quantities and packaging requirements.
Is there a maximum order size?
No fixed maximum. Large or complex projects are scoped and quoted individually.
Is full-color and full-bleed printing available?
Yes. Full-color and full-bleed production is available. Specifications are reviewed during pre-press to ensure the selected paper, color coverage, binding and production method are appropriate for the project.
What paper stock options are available?
Premium paper stocks are available for both text and cover applications, with the appropriate stock, weight and finish selected according to the book's format, color requirements, intended use and desired finish.
What kind of projects are you best suited to?
Every kind. Full color, hardcover, Smyth sewn, unusual trim sizes and heavy ink coverage are all routine here, and so is a straightforward black-and-white paperback. Tell us the specification and we will confirm production fit and a timeline.
