Get recognised on Google as an author
When readers, journalists or event organisers search your name, Google and AI tools should know exactly who you are and what you have written. A Google Knowledge Panel is the box that shows it. Google gives panels for free, to people it is confident it understands. We build the author identity that gives Google that confidence.
HOW IT WORKS
How Google decides who gets a Knowledge Panel
Google shows a Knowledge Panel when it is confident about who someone is. It builds that confidence from consistent facts on sources it trusts: your own website, Google Books, Amazon, Goodreads, library records and other profiles. When those sources agree, Google can connect them to one person. When they contradict each other, or are missing, it cannot.
Why it matters for authors
Readers, booksellers, podcast hosts and event organisers look you up before they decide. A clear result builds trust in seconds; a confusing one costs it.
AI tools read the same facts
ChatGPT, Gemini and other assistants describe people from the same sources. A consistent identity means they describe you correctly too.
Publishing is the moment to build it
Your book creates the strongest facts Google uses: Google Books, Amazon and library listings. We set your identity up consistently while those are created.
WHAT WE DO
Three levels, from a free audit to ongoing care
Author Visibility Audit
Free
How Google and AI tools describe you today, what is missing, and what is contradicting itself. Yours to keep, whether or not you go further.
Author Authority Profile
$2,500
Author website structured data, consistent Google Books, Amazon Author Central and Goodreads profiles, library and identifier records, a Wikidata entry where you genuinely qualify, and claiming your panel if one appears.
Authority Maintenance
$300 a month
Monitoring what Google and AI tools say about you, keeping every profile consistent as you publish more, and keeping your panel accurate once you have one.
What nobody can honestly promise
No one can guarantee you a Knowledge Panel: Google decides, and can change its mind. Offers of a panel within a week or two usually rely on shortcuts that Google later treats as spam, and the panel disappears. We do not write paid Wikipedia articles: Wikipedia requires paid editors to disclose it and removes articles about people who do not meet its notability rules. What we promise is the work: a clear, consistent, verifiable author identity, and an honest report of where you stand.

The author Knowledge Panel checklist
You can do this yourself. These are the steps, in the order that matters most:
- Your own author website. One page that is clearly about you as an author, with your name, photo, bio and books, and the structured data that tells Google who you are.
- Google Books. Your books listed with consistent title and author details. For published authors it is one of the sources Google trusts most.
- Amazon Author Central and Goodreads. Claimed author profiles with the same name, photo and bio as everywhere else.
- Consistency everywhere. The same name spelling, description and photo on every profile, social account and publisher page.
- Library and identifier records. Where your books are catalogued, your name is linked to them the same way each time.
- Claim it when it appears. Search your name; if a panel shows, use "Claim this knowledge panel" so you control it.
Prefer us to do it, and keep it right as you publish more? That is the Author Authority Profile.
Frequently asked questions
Can you guarantee me a Google Knowledge Panel?
No, and nobody honestly can. Google decides on its own whether to show a Knowledge Panel and can change or remove one at any time. We build the clear, consistent and verifiable author identity Google relies on, which gives you the best chance of a panel and makes you easier for AI tools to describe correctly.
How much does a Knowledge Panel cost?
Google does not charge for a Knowledge Panel. You pay for the work of building the author identity behind it. Our Author Visibility Audit is free, the Author Authority Profile is $2,500, and ongoing Authority Maintenance is $300 a month.
Do you write Wikipedia articles?
No. Wikipedia requires paid editors to disclose who pays them and removes articles about people who do not meet its notability rules. A panel that depends on an article that later gets deleted disappears with it. We add a Wikidata entry only where an author genuinely qualifies, with the relationship disclosed.
How long does it take?
The profile work itself takes a few weeks. When Google reflects it is up to Google, and it can take months. That is why we include monitoring and why maintenance exists.
What if Google already shows a panel for me?
Then the job is to claim it, so you control the details, and to correct anything that is wrong or out of date. That is part of both the profile and the maintenance service.
