Do I need a finished manuscript?
No. Many Gravitas authors arrive with expertise, not a draft. A senior writer interviews you, builds the manuscript in your voice and works under our editorial director. You review and approve the book at every stage.

The writing engagement is built around structured interviews scheduled to suit your calendar. The proposal sets out the interview plan and schedule before you sign, so you know exactly what is asked of you.
Is Gravitas Press a traditional publisher?
No. Gravitas Press is the executive imprint of Columbia Publication. You pay a flat fee quoted in writing before work begins, and you keep 100% of the rights and royalties permanently.
Who owns the book?
You do, permanently. All rights, all royalties and all final files, with no term limit and no reversion clause.
How do I pay?
Payment is made in full at the start, once you approve the written proposal, which reserves your writing and production team for the agreed schedule.
