Professional editing is available as an add-on or by upgrading.
Does Columbia Publication take any royalties?
No. Columbia Publication charges a flat fee for publishing services. You retain 100% of your royalties and 100% of your rights. We never take a percentage of your earnings.
What is included in Authority Plus?
Authority Plus (from $7,500) includes full manuscript editorial review at all three levels, audiobook production and distribution to Audible, Amazon, Apple Books, and Spotify, 15 printed author copies, a social media graphics kit, and our proprietary 3-Day Bestseller Launch Campaign. Exact scope is confirmed in your onboarding call.
Who is the Gravitas package for?
Gravitas ($25,000 to $45,000) is for executives and professionals, and runs on two paths. Already have a manuscript? Gravitas provides premium editorial and production from $25,000. Starting from an idea, notes, or interviews instead? Our ghostwriting team writes the book with you from scratch, running toward $45,000. Both paths include a senior editor or writer, unlimited revisions, full PR strategy, and all formats. It is the alternative to Scribe Professional ($56,000) and Forbes Books (no public pricing; quote-based) at a fraction of the investment.
Do I approve everything before my book goes live?
Yes. You approve every milestone -- cover design, interior layout, and final files -- before anything goes to print or distribution. Revisions are included. If we cannot deliver what was agreed, you do not pay for it.
Can I upgrade my package after starting?
Yes. You can add services or upgrade at any stage. Your dedicated publishing consultant will walk you through what is available as your project progresses.
How long does publishing take?
Essentials packages can go live on Amazon in 4 to 8 weeks for complete manuscripts. Authority and Authority Plus packages typically take 8 to 16 weeks due to editing and additional production. Gravitas depends on the path: 10 to 14 weeks from an existing manuscript, or 6 to 9 months when we are writing the book with you from scratch, confirmed in your first call.
