Who owns my Amazon KDP and IngramSpark accounts?
Last updated: October 9, 2026
You do. Your Amazon KDP and IngramSpark accounts are set up in your own name, you hold the login, and your sales and royalties are reported to you directly.
Why does account ownership matter?
Whoever owns the publishing account controls the book: its price, its files, its listing and its royalty payments. Some publishing companies list books under their own accounts, so the author has to ask them for sales reports and changes. With Columbia Publication, the accounts are yours from the start.
What does Columbia Publication do with the accounts?
Your publishing specialist sets up the listings with you and uploads the approved files. At handover you receive the account access details, the platform confirmations and your final files. After that, nothing about your book depends on us.
